Welcome to danielfrings.net. I'm a social psychologist currently working at London South Bank University. While I'm broadly interested small group processes and social identity I have a number of specific research interests:

Role of Social Identity on health outcomes.

Reactions to ingroup deviance (a.k.a. Dealing with Rule Breakers).

Interactions between group processes and alcohol / fatigue.

Psychosocial processes - particularly cardiac responses to situational stressors

Dec 2007: London South Bank

This month will see me joining the Psychology department at London South Bank University, up in the 'Big Smoke'. I'm really looking forward to properly meeting my colleagues, but am dreading getting used to the early morning commutes!

Sep 2007: Research Visit to University of California, Santa Barbara

From September through to December I've been working at University of California, Santa Barbara. As well as learning how to measure heart rate, blood flow and other physiological markers, I've had the chance to see a fair bit of the west coast - including the Grand Canyon!
